Bowl for Horizon
The evening started dry and ended very wet and I’m not talking about liquor. A rainy evening was the perfect time to have a bowling fundraiser. Our 2nd Annual Bowl for Horizon was a great success! The event was held at the Brunswick Zone in Deerfield, Illinois on Saturday, April 24, 2010.
Despite a lower turnout than we expected, Horizon still managed to do well. There were three different types of bowling games played during the evening. Participants started off with the first game of traditional bowling, then a game of scotch doubles and finishing with the game we like to call “crazy bowling.” In this game, participants did something abnormal in each frame, at one time you could hear a lot of weird animal noises.
The fun filled evening was a great start to kick off the fund-raising season. The event was filled with many great raffle items and several 50-50 drawings. We would like to thank all of those who donated and/or participated in this event. A special thanks also goes to all of the volunteers and the bowling committee for their hard work and organizing this wonderful fundraiser. Horizon looks forward to seeing each of you next year at the 3rd Annual Bowl for Horizon.
