April Fundraiser
Help support Horizon and purchase your favorite Tupperware at the same time. For the month of April, if you purchase Tupperware products online at the following link, Horizon will receive 55% of the sale. It is simple enough to do, just click Horizon Tupperware fundraiser and you will be directed to their link. Once you are on their page click the link called “Association of Horizon Spring Fundraiser” to place your order and then Horizon will receive credit. So do not procrastinate because this event will be over at the end of the month.
Calling all Horizon members!
The Association of Horizon, Inc. is asking for your help! We are asking for volunteers to help pre-sell raffle tickets to our upcoming golf outing on June 11. Masquerade Bash A Success
On February 19, Horizon held a Masquerade Bash at David & Buster’s in Addison Illinois. There were over 50 people in attendance and fun was had by all. There were plenty good appetizers, excellent DJ, and even raffle prizes. When people weren’t socializing with friends, they were able to go out and play some video games. One of the highlights of the evening was a very entertaining game of musical chairs which included bananas (should’ve been there to see it). Thanks to everyone involved in planning the event and all that donated.
With more little events like these, Horizon is on its way towards reaching its fund-raising goals for the year.
Year-Long Raffle Update
Horizon would like to congratulate its eight lucky winners of the Horizon Year-Long Raffle. Good luck to our next 60 potential winners, of which the next weekly drawing will be this evening. With all 4 of our $250 winners, 10 more $100 winners and many $50 winners yet to be determined, there is still plenty of money to be won. There are a few tickets remaining and if you are interested in a chance of winning and helping raise money for Horizon Camp, please contact Geri Skudney or Mike Trimpe for tickets.
Mardi Gras Bash

2011 Summer Camp needs sponsors.
Horizon is working diligently planning this year’s summer camp program. We are anticipating over 210 total participants to attend. With more people in attendance, along with the standard increase in living, Horizon’s cost for camp rises. To help cover some of our expenses, Horizon is looking for people/companies to help sponsor camp. There are four levels of sponsorship available, but any and all donations are appreciated.

Grilling for Horizon
Horizon would like to thank Michael Meyer for organizing our first Mongolian BBQ fundraiser which was held on Tuesday, December 21. It was a large turnout and raised $750 for the organization. To read more about this event click the Mongolian BBQ page.
2011 is approaching quickly
Can you believe 2010 is almost over…and you only have three days left to make your 2010 tax-deductible contribution!
In 2010, the Association of Horizon, Inc. held our largest camp session ever, giving a camping opportunity to over 90 adults with physical disabilities. Unfortunately, the record-breaking attendance also came with record-breaking costs. We will need record-breaking contributions to combat the costs of continuing our summer camp tradition. By the way, this coming year, will be our 20th annual summer camp!

Horizon Year Long Raffle
Horizon is selling tickets to its year-long raffle. There will be 52 weekly winners, 12 monthly winners and four quarterly prize winners. The best part about the raffle each ticket number has a chance to win more than once. Horizon is only selling a total of 1000 tickets and this will help increase the odds of winning. Each ticket is a $10 donation to the organization.
