Recruitment Kickoff
In January, it is time to begin recruiting for summer camp. With camp six months away, it is time for Horizon to hold its annual kickoff party at Hackney’s restaurant in Glenview, Illinois. Hackney’s has been a supporter of Horizon for many years and we use their front dining area to promote our upcoming summer camp. This is a fun way to introduce new people to the organization in a relaxed setting. Throughout the evening there are raffle prizes awarded and this year everyone got to vote on the Summer Camp T-Shirt design. Visiting friends from summer camp and having the opportunity to be the first to complete the summer camp application is just a couple of reasons why each year this event grows larger. It is also the perfect opportunity to get your Hackney’s hamburger fix until summer camp.
