Horizon Beach Party
Now that Camp Horizon 2008 is completed and everyone is getting back into their daily routine, wouldn’t it be great to visit with your friends from camp. GUESS WHAT? The beach party is an excellent opportunity for everyone to get together. This year’s party will be held on Saturday, August 9 at Montrose Beach in Chicago. We selected this new location in order to have a traditional style picnic for our friends & family. We request everyone bring a dish or snack to share, Horizon will have a grill available, so bring your own hot dogs, hamburgers or veggie patties to eat. Horizon will also have a cooler of water & pop available.
Montrose Beach is a large site. There are two parking that have free parking, one off of Montrose (half the lot is available to the general public) and a larger lot located off of Wilson Avenue. The party is a great time to get together for food & fun at Chicago’s lakefront.
The event is tentatively scheduled to begin around 11 a.m. but people will come and go all day. Pack up your sunscreen, swimming suits, and camp photos along with your refreshments and get ready for a GREAT DAY!
Our group will be located in the grass north of the beach house — under the shade of some trees and close to the beach.
